Who we are

Janelle Zander

Head of Marketing and Digital Strategy

Growing up in eastern South Dakota—the land of Laura Ingalls Wilder—Janelle discovered her love for words and reading, wearing out her set of Little House on the Prairie books. (Of course, there was no place for the corresponding TV show as its departure from the books was abominable to the true fans of the Little House books.)

In keeping with her Little House roots, she followed Laura’s path and became a teacher, gaining a degree in elementary education. But within a few years, her appreciation for words took over, and she moved into content marketing and management more than 15 years ago. She's managed diverse clients and projects through the years, becoming a true nerd in her enjoyment of analytics and data, but these days, her first love is working directly with clients. She loves the details that work together to bring a business or organization to the next level of success.

A bit of a modern-day hippie, Janelle is drawn to the classic bohemian lifestyle of travel, music, and literature. A few years ago, she traveled with her family on a 9-month coast-to-coast road-trip through the USA in a renovated ’76 GMC RV. Janelle now lives just outside of Boulder with her husband, three kids, and dog, Chewy. She grew up gardening and canning and now gardens organically, enjoying garden-to-table cooking.

Janelle graduated with honors from Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.

"I worked with Janelle for two years, and she set the bar for client success at our B2B inbound marketing agency. She has the rare combination of strategic thinking, attention to detail, creativity, and relationship building skills that led to client results that always exceeded expectations!"

about Janelle

She loves: Colorado’s sunny skies, especially in the winter.

She swears by: Acupuncture.

Her family: The family she lives with, those who are too far away, and her community of “friends like family” whom she couldn't do life without.

What she believes: Working hard can be fun. Details don't have to equal stress if you love why you do what you do.
